Its been a while folks! Just want to say we will be starting back up again after old man winter is done. New this year U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers and Officials have the opportunity for a free day of fishing at one of the PREMIER LAKES of the Midwest, Lake Shelbyville. You will have to kind of excuse my multi species abilities the first season, but I am positive we will boat many PB Channel and Flatheads with a few Blues if we head to Clinton Lake this season! Here is a look at some past catches! And look for a follow up post in a month or so for open dates…hoping to triple all my previous trips this year!

Well today is the day. This evening, we find out if the people of the area are willing to give up a few minutes of their lives by showing support for the Quincy Bay Project. The folks from the Corps of Engineers will leave Quincy tomorrow with one of two messages. One is that we want construction to start as soon as possible and we all showed up to prove it, or two Quincy does not care so the normal slow bureaucracy speed will be fine. It is that simple.

Please show up this evening at the Civic Center. Doors open at 430, the Major speaks at 5 and it goes until 7. At minimum come through the door, and sign in with your support. If you have the time, stay to listen to the speakers and educate yourself about the HREP. Please bring your family, friends and share this reminder.

Over 5 years ago, I and some of the other QBAREA folks started hitting the road. We traveled to Lacrosse, WS, LeClair, Iowa, Rock Island, St Louis and almost every river town in between. Attending meetings and learning the ends and outs of the various programs, to get us to todays Open House. It will all be worthwhile if people are willing to travel far less and give up an hour of their time tonight. I would appreciate you sharing this reminder with everyone you know and showing up tonight in force. Thanks
