Did You Know? (National Salvation Army Week Edition)

Did you know that The Salvation Army actively engages in the fight against food insecurity every day? Resources are available for families, youth ,and seniors to ensure their physical needs are met and that no one goes without vital nutritional support.

In Racine, The Salvation Army operates a variety of programs to meet these needs, including a weekly food pantry, the Healthy Kids Diner, Weekend Food Sacks for youth, and ADRC/Meals on Wheels service for seniors. Through these efforts, we are committed to nourishing our community, strengthening families, and ensuring that everyone has equal access to healthy, nutritional foods.

Happy National Salvation Army Week!

This week, we celebrate the life-changing work of The Salvation Army and the powerful impact it continues to have in communities across the country.

Here at the Racine Corps, we pause to recognize and honor the dedicated officers, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners who faithfully support our mission every single day. Because of you, hope is shared, lives are transformed, and compassion is put into action.

We also extend a heartfelt word of appreciation to all who have supported the Racine Corps since its founding in 1890. Your legacy of generosity and service has built a foundation that continues to uplift and strengthen our community today.

Since 1954, National Salvation Army Week has served as a reminder of the important role The Salvation Army plays in communities across the country.

This week, we recognize the dedicated officers, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners who make this mission possible — helping meet human needs without discrimination and bringing hope to neighbors in every season.
