Good afternoon everyone,
I want to thank all of you that have expressed your support for my bid to be Racine's next mayor. Many of you know me and many of you know me as a result of family or friends that have mentioned my name to you as a viable candidate for the position of mayor for Racine.
If some of you would like to find out a bit more about me, please do a google search for Wally Rendon or even my given name, guadalupe rendon, there you will find a bit more information about me as well.
As some of you may know or have heard or read, the Committee of the Whole selected the following dates for the upcoming special mayoral election.
1. August 3rd - Nomination papers can began to be circuated, we will need a minimum of 200 valid signatures to be placed on the ballet.
2. August 22 - Nominations papers with the signatures due.
3. September 19 will be the primary since it appears that there will be at least 7 people vying for the office.
4. Oct 17 - the two most vote getters will now be on the ballet as mayor for Racine.

Finally for those who have asked, how can I help?, Right now our most pressing is raising funds to compete with at least two that are being backed fiancially by the Democratic Party and the other the Republican party.
For us, $5,$10, $25 or whatever you can and are willing to help with will be greatly appreciated...one thing you will find with our campaign is that we will not be beholden to any interest party except the citizens of this great city!
Checks can be made to Friends of Wally Rendon and mailed out to 833 Lombard Ave. Racine, WI. 53402. Those of you that live outside the city and can't support me with a vote, we would welcome you financial support...thanks.
