🚨 Vehicle Thefts Alert 🚨

Since August 25, 2025, we have taken 10 auto theft reports in the Bardstown Road and Rineyville areas. Of these, 8 vehicles had the keys left inside. In addition, we have received several calls regarding vehicles being rifled through.

‼️We need everyone to take simple steps to protect yourselves and your property:
• Always remove your keys from your vehicle.
• Lock your doors every time you park.
• Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle.

While several stolen vehicles have been recovered nearby, prevention is key. A locked vehicle is much less likely to become a target.

If you see suspicious activity or individuals, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
Let’s work together to stay vigilant county-wide. Though these cases are concentrated in certain areas right now, keep in mind that auto theft can happen anywhere.
