Today, the North Carolina legislative House gave bipartisan approval to the 2026 Appropriations Act, a comprehensive state budget that includes historic salary increases for teachers and law enforcement, responsible tax relief for all North Carolinians, and investments in public safety.

The 2026 Appropriations Act:

-makes historic investments in public safety and education
-continues to lower taxes and does so in a responsible way
-protects taxpayer dollars by making targeted investments to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse
-ensures North Carolinians keep more of their hard-earned money
-continues our commitment to Western NC by investing millions more in Helene recovery
