Colorado lawmakers, LGBTQ+ community members kick off ballot initiative to protect same-s*x marriages The state constitution still defines marriage as between a man and a woman, but voters this fall could choose to take that out.

A belated congratulations to happy couples in England and Wales celebrating 10 years of legal marriage equality!

Legislation to allow same-s*x marriage in England and Wales was passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom in July 2013 and took effect on 13 March 2014. The first same-s*x marriages took place on 29 March 2014.

Civil partnerships which offer most, but not aĺl of the rights and benefits of marriage have been recognized since 2005.

The United Kingdom was the 27th country in the world and the sixteenth in Europe to allow same-s*x couples to marry nationwide.

Welcome to the first post in a series celebrating international marriage equality!

An AP headline yesterday read, "Greece becomes first Orthodox Christian country to legalize same-s*x civil marriage" and also stated that they are the 16th European Union country to legislate marriage equality.

Today, we celebrate the most recent country to legalize same s*x marriages: Greece!
