RARE MODERNIST HOME SAVED: Unbelievable that we almost saw this historic home become a pile of rubble.

This one-of-a-kind home was a Historic Landmark, but previous owners requested removal of landmark status — allowing new owners full freedom to demolish the house.

Thankfully, it was rescued at the last moment and moved from its original site. The Weber House was built in 1953-54 and designed by legendary architect and founding faculty of NC State’s design school: George Matsumoto.

Now, take a look at how BEAUTIFULLY it’s been restored!!
