YIN = YOGA MAGIC FOR FIGHTERS ✨
The number one yoga class we recommend our students take alongside learning selfdefense and fighting is YIN YOGA.
Yin yoga focuses on slow, steady and mindful movement and breathwork. It's so effective for fighters because it offers a counterbalance to the high intensity training. The goal of yin yoga is to improve flexibility + mobility as well as accelerating recovery.
This class is more passive, holding poses anywhere between a minute to 5 minutes. Props can be used to help keep the body more relaxed
The goal of yin yoga is to use stillness + gravity to release deeply-held tension in the body. When you settle into the pose, bring yourself to the point of sensation but not pain. As you hold the pose still, you will find that you can go incrementally deeper, so take it slow and tune into what your body is telling you.
