🇺🇸 A Fourth of July Message to Our Church Family 🇺🇸

“Blessed Is the Nation Whose God Is the Lord” – Psalm 33:12

Dear TCC Family,

As we gather to celebrate Independence Day, our hearts are filled with gratitude—for our families, our freedoms, and most importantly, for the faithfulness of God throughout the history of our nation and our lives.

On July 4, 1776, our nation’s founders signed the Declaration of Independence, boldly declaring that all people are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” Though our country has faced many challenges throughout its history, one truth has remained constant: America has always been strengthened when her people have turned their hearts toward God.

From the earliest settlers who knelt in prayer upon arriving on these shores, to the countless believers who have faithfully served, sacrificed, and prayed for our nation throughout the generations, faith has played a vital role in the American story. Throughout times of war, economic hardship, national tragedy, and great triumph, God has continually demonstrated His mercy and faithfulness.

As believers, however, we understand that our ultimate hope has never rested in a political system, an earthly government, or even a nation itself. Our hope is found in the unchanging Kingdom of God.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:20:

“For our citizenship is in heaven; from which also we eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”

What a comforting truth! While we celebrate the blessings of our earthly nation, we also rejoice that we belong to an eternal Kingdom that cannot be shaken.

This Independence Day, let us remember:

🇺🇸 We are grateful.

We thank God for the freedoms we enjoy—the freedom to worship, to gather, to proclaim the Gospel, and to raise our families in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

🙏 We are prayerful.

Scripture instructs us to pray for those in authority and to seek God’s blessing upon our land. Our nation needs revival, wisdom, unity, and the healing power of God now more than ever.

✝️ We are hopeful.

No matter what challenges our world may face, our God remains on the throne. He is still saving, healing, restoring, and working all things together for the good of those who love Him.

❤️ We are called.

As the Church, we are called to be salt and light—to demonstrate the love of Christ, proclaim the truth of His Word, and serve our communities with compassion and faith.

As you celebrate with family and friends this Fourth of July weekend, may you take time to reflect on God’s goodness, share His love with others, and remember that true freedom is found only through Jesus Christ.
