Last month was a very important month for many diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) and their loved ones. It hits close to home as we have a family member and also a boarder here at Sunflower Ranch, that has been diagnosed with this syndrome. EDS is a group of inherited disorders that mostly affect the skin, joints, and blood vessel walls. The EDS community adopted the zebra as its mascot not only because it’s a very rare disease (just like the uniqueness of a zebra’s stripes) but also that “sometimes when you hear hoofbeats, it really is a zebra” (meaning not everything is as it seems). 6 year old OTTB looking for his forever home. His name is Rockaway and he is full of personality and energy. He has had quite a bit of training. Great English prospect. Not very spooky, not recommend for a beginner, he’s really good as long as he gets out but he does not like to sit as stated above he has energy. He will go and go as long as you ask, he very much enjoys to work!
