In response to the recent EHV outbreak in southern states, we have made the decision to block all haul-ins at this time. This would have only affected those taking lessons with 9 of Spades Horsemanship, and they have already been in touch with their clients.

We have also asked our boarders to restrict hauling off property to emergency basis only until more time has passed and we are sure the outbreak has not continued to spread. We are grateful for amazing boarders that understand that we need to have the good of every horse on property in mind.

None of the horses on our property, nor those on neighboring properties have been exposed and we are choosing to maintain that status. Thank you for understanding!!!

On a side note, please remember that social media can be a great source of rumors and false information. Research before sharing information to know to the best of your knowledge you are sharing facts from qualified sources. I have included a great resource below to track not just confirmed cases in this outbreak, but all other reportable diseases across the country.

EHM Outbreak Counts | Equine Disease Communication Center The Equine Disease Communication Center is monitoring an outbreak of EHM that originated at the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) World Finals and Elite Barrel Race event Nov 5-9. To date, officially confirmed cases have been reported in the following states-

Saturday - August 9 - Bray Arena - Central States Fairgrounds - Horsin Around Club open horse show - This show is an all-around show; halter, showmanship, saddle seat, hunt seat, driving, western pleasure, horsemanship, trail, reining, and ranch classes (Check out their FB page for details)
