"A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others." - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
While we want to like this caption, here at PLC Leadership, we are here to show you that you don't have to consume yourself in order to light the way for others.
If you'd like to know how let's set up a call to connect.

Have you been experiencing burnout?
Here are our recommendations:
Self-care: It's essential to prioritize self-care activities that promote relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. This can include activities such as exercise, mindfulness practices, spending time outdoors, and engaging in hobbies that bring joy and relaxation.
Time Management: Creating a schedule and prioritizing tasks can help to manage workload and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Teachers should set realistic goals, establish boundaries, and take regular breaks throughout the day.
Seek Support: Talking with colleagues, mentors, or a therapist can provide a valuable source of support and help teachers to feel less isolated. It's also important to develop a strong support network of friends and family outside of work.
By implementing these strategies, teachers can reduce the risk of burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
We value your opinion, tell us how you've managed burnout in the comments below.
"I do not think that these past two semesters of graduate school would have been so easy for me. I have always dreamt about being a teacher, but my long-term goal is to become a Principal, and having the PLC Leadership Group to guide me has been a life-changing experience!"
It was a pleasure to serve Seanette Martin in the PLC Leadership Group. We rocked it and we are proud of the leader they've become!

Ask yourself:
Do I demonstrate empathy and compassion towards my team members?
Do I create a supportive environment for mental and emotional well-being?
Be honest. Sometimes, it's hard being in charge of teams and managing everyone's individual needs.
Sometimes you are facing a deadline, correction, MOST times you are facing a deadline and just need everyone to come in and "do their job" and when they don't rise to the occasion it totally throws your day and your deadline, but AT times you have to step back and support someone on the team to benefit for the long-term, so how do you do both simultaneously you ask?
If you feel as though you could use support, PLC Leadership Group is inviting you to join us for "Take the Next Steps to Successful School Leadership - Unlock the Secrets to School Leadership" on April 17th, where we will take a deep dive into how to pour into yourself and your team to prevent burnout / how to make others feel seen and heard / have difficult conversations from a place of empathy, service, and support.
