Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1591

We are sad to announce the passing of longtime airport community and EAA member Ron Siwik on Monday, December 28th surrounded by his family. Ron was an institution at the Portage County Airport and a great champion for general aviation. Over the years he mentored many aviators, introduced dozens of kids to aviation through Young Eagle flights, and donated his time, money, and aircraft to helping further the cause. He will be sorely missed.

105-Year-Old Woman Celebrates Birthday With First Flying Lesson - Plane & Pilot Magazine Virginia Mills celebrated her 105th birthday with her first flying lesson, taking a Cessna 172 for a flight out of Portage County Airport in Ohio.
