Reading Rifle And Revolver

It's been a very busy 2 weeks for Reading Rifle and Revolver Club. Week 1 we ran a 2 day Level 1 Coaches Class in the new air range. Day 2 of the class the new coaches practiced positions on them selves and then were able to apply what they had learned to a group of scouts who came in to learn about rifle safety and were able to shoot our air rifles. They all both coaches and scouts learned a lot and had so much fun. While the scouts were in one range the advanced juniors were busy training air in the other range. So we had scouts, coach training and practice all going at the same time.
This past weekend we hosted a NCAA match between The Ohio State Rifle Team and Norwich University's Rifle team. We had both the small-bore range and the air range running on electronic targets. Juniors from MA, NH, VT, CT and NY were able to shoot along with the Collegiate teams. Three full relays in both kept us busy all day. Sunday advanced juniors were back on the range completing a postal match and had visitors from another junior club to see our range. They even were able to learn about air rifles and shoot at a couple of targets. So great to see so much competitive marksmanship going on in Massachusetts.

Level 1 Rifle Coach Program

Maureen Trickett from the National Rifle Association, Coach Development Staff will be conducting the Coach Education Program for Level 1 Small-bore & Air Rifle at Reading Rifle and Revolver, Reading MA on Saturday October 25th, and Sunday October 26th. You MUST attend both days. This course will greatly benefit your programs and staff in many ways.
