Yup, it's true. Honesty and trustworthiness was the single most important factor for home buyers when choosing a real estate agent in 2020. This was followed by: experience, reputation, someone they already knew, agent's knowledge of the neighborhood, and a helpful personality.
Maybe you read my post last week and thought, "Okay, she literally just admitted she has no experience!" Because I want to be honest with you. I'm not really looking to break into this market by pretending I have it all together. But if you KNOW me (and many of you do!) - can you do me a favor? Likes, comments, and shares are great - but actually telling people about ME is even better. Yes, there's nobody who has ever had me as an agent.
But you DO know my personality, my character, and my work ethic. And apparently, that's what matters the most!

I know I keep harping on this - I promise it's the last time I'll post about expectations for a while!
These three questions can really narrow down what you're looking for as a buyer. Here's what my thought process would be if I was buying now:
1. What do I need? A fenced in yard (two rowdy dogs), 1 or 1.5 baths (only my husband and I so we don't NEED two), outside of Reading (we're country bumpkins).
2. What do I love? Large yard, trees, patio/deck, large kitchen with island, lots of windows, garage.
3. What can I do without? Anything I love (we can always move, plant trees, remodel, build a patio and garage).
See what I did? Created an optimistic BUT realistic goal for my future home. Is it perfect? Nope. Do I wish I could afford more? Duh. But will this keep me grounded and less stressed? Absolutely!
