The Park Fire reached 10% containment on Saturday evening and remains at 350,012 acres according to Cal Fire. CAL FIRE/Butte County said in their latest operational update they have been utilizing both aircraft and ground resources to battle the blaze while the weather is favorable and the fire begins to lay down.

For those still attempting to find shelter for larger animals, there is the potential for room for a number of goats and/or sheep sized animals, as well as for a few horses/cattle at the Anderson FFA Farm off Olinda Road in Anderson. Please call Darin Hale at 530-355-7036 to confirm room prior to going to the location. For those with RV's there may also be room to stay at the High School parking lot near your animals. Again, please call the contact number to confirm availability.
