Look at these beautiful Meishan Red Wattle crosses. An awesome cross between a lard and meat breed, several of these babies are looking for new homes. If you want a pig with personality or to grow out, this is a cross you should consider. DM us for details.

Fig season is starting. Available in the farmstand we have lots of the big LSU Gold (green honey fig) variety already at $5 for 1½ lbs.
The Chicago Hardy (black) and Celeste (brown) are in shorter supply and run $5 for 1 lb.
They only last a few days before we pull them and the fig season is SHORT spanning a few weeks at most.
Never eaten a fig?

We got another load of tomatoes out at the stand but the harvest is definitely waning...
We also have squash and cucumbers in an ice chest in front of the stand as they last better in it than out in the 100° weather.
As you can see in our spreadsheet though... We are at well over 500 lbs total for the season so far!

Especially on those humid. Not so sunny days where the dew points are close to 80°... An ice vest, hat long sleeves, pants and socks are needed to avoid sun exposure, overheating, fire ants and all the prickly things in the garden.
The garden doesn't wait for it to cool down or you to be comfortable.
Enjoy your air conditioning and fresh tomatoes!
