To the very best little bay gelding, thank you Munson for re-teaching me the thrill of eventing. It's been 25 years since I ran prelim at Young Riders, and I have been trying to get back to this level ever since. Life, injuries, and loss made the road a bit bumpy. Sometimes it felt impossible, but yesterday Munson and I finally did it!!! Did I give him a great ride...? definitely not! He saved my butt a few times, called me out when needed, and we got through the finish flags safe and sound!!

Thank you also to everyone who helped me this weekend, and everyone who has supported me, challenged me, and cheered me on over aalllllllll the years, if I could tag you all, I would!! I have learned so much from each and every one of you, it truly takes a village! And even though she'll hate the social media shout out, special thank you to Cathy, who has been my mentor and coach from the very beginning. Thank you for all the love, the lessons, and the unfailing support Cath, I couldn't have done this without you, I promise that someday I really will learn to truly sit up!!

And to the horses who came before, the green beans, the school masters, my students horses and my own horses... each one taught me something different, gave me a better feel and understanding of our sport. I have all my horses' names on my XC belt, they ride along with me every time! Kekoa, Mick, Blu, T-Bone, Sisco and last but most importantly Heidi - who has challenged my technical skills more than any other, I couldn't have gotten here without you holding me to your very high, queenly standards!! Maybe you're the next one I'll run at the green flags with!
