We are the Redding hub of Sunrise, a youth-led movement to face climate change head-on and create a wave of new jobs in the process.
Today's march was EPIC. Thank you to everone who showed up and walked with us or met us at City Hall. You can see footage of the event on our Instagram! More pics and video to come in the days ahead.
Some highlights: a large group of activists as young as 5 and as old as 80 marched and sang, we saw allyship from Congressional candidate Max Steiner and North State politician Elizabeth Betancourt, we spoke to the Planning Commission about a tree ordinance for Redding's urban forest. We even made art!
