Fall is here! and that means winter is just around the corner. While most people stop thinking about their lawns as the weather cools down, preparing your lawn for winter (winterizing) is one of the most important fertilizer applications of the year.
For my "Winterizing" program I use a different fertilizer than normal. This fertilizer is packed with macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients to help your lawn stay strong and healthy over the winter.

Having trouble keeping your lawn green in the heat of the summer?
It’s no secret that our lawns have trouble staying beautiful during the summer. With drought bringing watering restrictions and our 100+ temps keeping our cool season lawns much warmer than ideal, it’s hard to keep up. This is why my lawn programs focus on building root health and strength. Stronger and healthier roots lead to better drought and heat resistance.
My Basic Turf Program includes 7 yearly applications consisting of specifically timed fertilizer, w**d control and soil treatments and starts at just $45 per application. Additional treatments such as fungicides and insecticides are available as needed or for a discount in the Deluxe Turf Program. Give me a call and I’d be more than happy to give you a free quote! Here are some things YOU can do to help your lawn increase its drought resistance and overall health:
• Make sure your lawn gets the nutrition it needs, especially before the summer, or call someone who can help (Me)
• Check your sprinklers to make sure they are working and are providing adequate coverage
• Make sure your lawn is actually dry before adding more water (excessive watering can lead to fungus and disease)
• Water every other day to help avoid fungus and disease
• Mow cool season grasses high (3-4” in height), especially during summer
• Sharpen your mower blade
• Be patient, cool season lawns will come back and look beautiful after the heat of the summer. (Cool season grasses thrive in the spring and fall)
