Family Involvement is so important to a child's development and over all well-being. Here at Shasta Head Start, we work with our families to get them involved as much as possible!

Over at Anderson Park, two moms came into the classroom to help our little's make homemade tortillas and quesadillas!! The children got to experience what is was like to use a tortilla press. Plus, our Bilingual Specialist, Betty, made the kids homemade salsa and pickled onions!!

They absolutely loved this experience!

Some children seem to need constant physical activity, like bouncing or crashing into things. When they do these behaviors and can’t seem to turn them off, they aren’t misbehaving. Instead, they’re trying to calm their nervous system.
