I mean, I give this guy credit for not pretending like he wants to unite the world. No . They dont. What they want, is for everyone to be just like them. F**k everyone else.

Thank you to for posting.
"Turning Point USA is bringing its brand of hate, division, misinformation, and Christian Nationalism into our city. We are answering with something stronger: people power, solidarity, and a commitment to each other.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Redding Civic Auditorium, our community is coming together to stand for democracy, inclusion, and truth — and to say clearly that Christian Natioanlism and hate-based extremism has NO HOME HERE.
This is a peaceful, community-led protest where we show that Redding stands for:
• Respect
• Equal rights
• Honest democracy
• Safety for all families
Bring your friends. Bring your signs. Bring your voice. This is about protecting our neighbors, our kids, and our future from politics that thrive on fear and scapegoating.
This is about restoring public trust in Shasta County government. Something I think we all agree has been damaged.
Supervisor Matt tried to put a charter amendment on the June ballot that would prevent supervisors from giving themselves raises in the future. Not because it was popular or flashy, but because public trust matters. When elected officials vote on their own compensation, it erodes confidence. Even if the raise is small. Even if it is legal.
The proposal did not receive support from the rest of the Board.
Matt then took an additional step rooted in the same principle. Aligning his pay with what the community has said feels reasonable and donating the excess to a county need until the public says otherwise.
You do not have to agree with every policy position to recognize the intent here.
Actions like this send a clear message. Service comes before self interest.
If we want people to believe in local government again, this is the direction we should be moving.

Today, a Shasta County jury found Jenny O’Connell-Nowain guilty of “disturbing a public meeting” after her protest at a Board of Supervisors meeting last November where she sat on the floor in response to comments she strongly objected to.
Let that sink in.
A peaceful, non-violent act of protest resulted in a criminal conviction.
Meanwhile, the actual business of the Board is routinely disrupted by the board majority themselves, wiith long, irrelevant political rants, comments far outside the purview of county governance, and behavior that is often dismissive and disrespectful to the public sitting in those chambers.
As someone who attends and serves in public meetings, I have to ask:
Why is protest criminalized, but those who consistently derail meetings from the dais face no accountability at all?
In my opinion, if “disturbing a meeting” is the standard, then the people who most often disturb the public’s ability to witness effective, lawful governance are the ones holding the gavel, not the people sitting on the floor in dissent.
This raises serious questions about whose speech is protected, whose is punished, and how power is being wielded in Shasta County.
Public meetings belong to the public.
Dissent is not a crime.
And accountability should apply to everyone, especially those in power.
Jury convicts activist O'Connell-Nowain for disturbing Shasta County board meeting – Shasta Scout Jenny O’Connell-Nowain has been found guilty of disturbing a public meeting after sitting on the floor during a November 2024 Shasta County board meeting.
Jenny Nowain vs. Shasta County
Jenny Nowain is currently awaiting a verdict after being charged for her protest at a Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting in November 2024.
She was charged with willfully impeding a public meeting and resisting arrest after sitting quietly and holding a sign that read:
🪧 “Resign Patrick Jones.”
After years of Patrick Jones—an elected official—impeding the public’s business, ignoring community voices, and contributing to chaos in these meetings, Jenny reached a breaking point and chose to escalate her protest.
✊ Shasta Unmasked stands with Jenny.
We are proud of her courage, her conviction, and her commitment to being a voice for the people of Shasta County.
Public meetings belong to the public.
Speaking out is not a crime.
Dissent is not terrorism.
🎙️ Stay tuned for updates.

đź’ś Hope and Healing for Northern California đź’ś
Shasta County Supervisors Matt Plummer for Supervisor 2024 (District 4) and Allen Long (District 2) are standing up for real solutions to our region’s growing mental health and addiction crisis.
They’ve written a letter to the California Department of Health Care Services in support of the True North Behavioral Health Campus project...a mental health facility that could bring critical resources, new treatment options, and hope to Northern California, including in patient treatment options for children (which is SO IMPORTANT to me ...currently families have to send their children who need a mental health hospital half way across the state! This is NOT OK)
This project represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to invest in local behavioral health infrastructure, create jobs, and ensure that people in crisis can get care close to home... instead of being sent out of the area or ending up in jail or the ER.
Supervisor Plummer is asking if the community would like a Town Hall to discuss this project and answer questions.
Visit Matt Plummer’s post and comment if you’d attend a Town Hall!
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier future for our families and our neighbors. đź’Ş
