🎥 I had the opportunity to do a video series for KRCR News Channel 7 called "Getting to Know the Candidate." Where they asked all of the candidates currently running the same questions, here is my response to one of the questions:

⚠️ "What differentiates you from other candidate?"

First of all I am not a politician, who is seeking a 3rd term, after voting for term limits. I am running to serve the people and not special interests from outside our County. I am a true conservative that believes in local control. I believe Shasta County should be run according to what the people want, not what big government wants.

⚠️ "What do you see as the most pressing issue, and what is your plan to solve it?"

Currently I believe that Public Safety is the #1 concern in the County. This includes many issues, crime, fire protection, homelessness, and mental health. If I am blessed enough to become a Supervisor that doesn’t mean that I am an expert on all these issues overnight.
✅ I will work with the experts in their fields to help improve all of these things.
✅ I will listen to the people in our Community and get their opinions on what can improve the situation.
✅ I will bring together Government and Non-government organizations to come up with effective solutions.
✅ I will work together with the board to set standards for these organizations to ensure the money we are spending on these problems is used wisely, with metrics in place to ensure success.

⚠️ "If elected, what do you plan to accomplish in your first 30 days? First 90 days? First year?"

🇺🇸 I am already working on my first 30 days. Board collaboration and unity is a big deal. If our board continues the infighting, and supervisors voting for or against issues for the simple fact another supervisor votes for against an issue, we can’t accomplish anything.

In the first 90 days I hope to reach out to the majority of the Department heads in the County and develop those relationships. I want to hear what their issues are, and find out how we can better serve our community more efficiently.

In the first year I hope to take a vital role in helping shape the programs that address all of the public safety, as listed on my website www.corkeyharmon.com and that I've mentioned in my other videos. I plan to serve on the committees that will shape these programs and get to work on them.

I am a business owner with over 30 years providing excellent customer service, effective and efficient project management and leadership. I understand what our county

"Have you received any donations or endorsements from any groups? If so, which ones?"

I am humbled to be endorsed by; Shasta County GOP and Shasta County Republican Assembly. I have also received endorsements and donations from the Laborers Union and the Operating Engineers Union. When I last checked 80% of my donations have come from within District 3, most of which have been between $50-$1000 dollars. I am very proud of that fact.

My opponent has taken almost 80% of her donations from outside the district and her largest coming from outside the County. When she is taking donations from a casino outside the county and voting against things that affect a casino in the county, that appears to be an issue.

I understand what our county needs right now and it's not a politician, we need someone that can relate to the people, represent the people and not special interest and lead with common sense. I am that person.
