She gave everything to her job, worked late, saved every penny toward a pension she’ll never see, and left behind weeks of unused PTO. It was a gut-punch reminder that no matter how hard we work, none of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Don’t save your best years for “someday.” Use your PTO. Book the trip. Take the hike. Spend time with the people (and pups) who matter most. We weren’t put on this earth to live for emails and deadlines; we were put here to live. Work to live, don’t live to work.
