I have some personal news to share for those that missed my announcement this morning…🥹
Today a was my last day at my dream job, KGW. I’ve been chasing being a news reporter/weather forecaster for nearly 6 years and I’ve decided it’s time for a little break. As hard as the decision was for me to make I know it’s for the best, for now. I’ll forever be grateful for all of the lessons, journeys and stories I’ve gotten to tell over the years that will stick with me. I have also met some of my favorite people and forever friends that I have this job to thank for, too.
I’m ready to spend more time with my husband and our two furry babies during this break from news.
So thank YOU all from the bottom of my heart for all your support these last few years - it has meant the world to me❤️🙏🏽

As we head into wildfire season, Vancouver is about to implement a recreational burn ban at midnight Friday, June 13. This means no campfires, no fire pits and no outdoor fireplaces.
Vancouver Fire Marshal Heidi Scarpelli made the announcement Tuesday afternoon. She said the burn ban is based off a few things, including weather conditions, how dry vegetation is and community fire safety needs.
