I have been getting more shocks to service this year. By far this pair of icon 2.5s was the most nuked pair to date. When I got them, they were taken apart and laying in a box full of dirt. The shafts looked like they had a torch on them. The shocks looked like they were out of oil for years and driven. The lower com10 bearings had wore through the upper half of it's race. The upper top hat bolts were snapped in half. Icon made quick work of getting me all of the parts very fast for me to service.

I had this 2015 Ford F350 come into my shop this week. Customer was towing a double decker trailer making a long journey from upper Washington down into central California. They experienced some bad differential noise after another shop changed their rear Pinion seal.

They didn't tighten down the Pinion nut enough causing the pinion to start to make contact with the carrier case. The pinion bearings overheated along with the gear oil causing it to boil out of the vent.

The customer was able to leave me the truck and get a rental to complete their task into central California while I do repairs.

I had Yukon Gear & Axle overnight me a pinion kit. This morning I came in on a Saturday so the customer could get their vehicle.

Knowing that thr customer is carrying very heavy loads I poured in some Torco USA gear oil into the rear housing, this is also what I use in my own tow dodge.
