Is this funny (or sad) because it might be true soon?

Good Friday morning,
I’ve got a quickie for you today…
It is a motivational article I read in Inc this morning - just a few minutes ago actually.
I was set to tell you about something else today but this article struck me such that
>>https://go.accelerateleads2cash.com/incagency >>
It had to be shared with you immediately
A key quote from it is:
“...when you work for someone else, your upside is always limited… Your downside [working for someone else] is always unlimited, because, in spite of your best efforts, you can be laid off or fired.”
Let that sink in for a moment: limited upside, unlimited downside
Those are your odds in any job when you work for someone else
Fact. Period. Full stop
Try to argue with me if you want - you will be wrong
I loved how the article compares that to things we do all the time without batting an eye
You have to board that plane in order to fly to your dreamland
Because the Greyhound you are riding will never arrive there.
And sure that plane could crash spectacularly and you may not have a parachute onboard
Do you think test pilots waste time thinking about the possibility of spectacular crashes?
The key is: YOU are flying the plane.
You aren’t driving the bus - you’re a passenger
It takes incredible courage to earn your agency
I don’t know about you…
… but I’m a mo*********ng test pilot
It sure beats riding the bus

Enjoy your start to the weekend,

PS - If you think you have what it takes to be a test pilot…
Then reply to this post with the word “COURAGE”
And I will get you the details right away. 🚀

What's a lost skill that everyone has seemed to forgotten how to do anymore?
Do you feel like you're not good enough or unworthy?
Like at any moment ‘they’ are going to catch on…
That you are a huge fraud and the whole game will be up?
Like you will be sent back to the gutter faster than it takes to read that last sentence
While they all laugh at you…
Maybe that feeling keeps you from asking for a promotion or a raise at your job
Makes you feel like you should be happy with what you get now
It might be stopping you from going out on your own
Taking that risk that could allow you to live the life you want
Instead of sitting on the sidelines wondering ‘what if?’
That feeling is called “Imposter Syndrome”
And experts agree that it is a sign of success
Barbara Corcoran of TV’s Shark Tank fame,
Recently posted on TikTok about Imposter Syndrome
(You can DM me if you want the link to the video - I'll send it right over)
She thanks the lord for Imposter Syndrome everyday
Experts like economist Tyler Cowan agree. He writes in the book Talent, which he co-authored,
“If you think you are not qualified to do what you are doing,
it is a sign you are setting your sights high
and reaching for a new and perhaps unprecedented level of achievement”
So, if you have Imposter Syndrome, you are on the right path to your own personal greatness
But without it…
Mediocrity City baby
That’s why I’m grateful with that feeling of unworthiness of your attention that I experience often
Do you have Imposter Syndrome?
Let me know what you are experiencing it with in a 11 second reply to this message
And I will give you some tips on how I deal with it in a return reply
If you haven't got Imposter Syndrome…
Don’t you think you should get some?

“Why do you want to be a hotdogger?”
Have you ever been out and about, minding your business
And seen the Weinermobile driving around your city?
You know it is that truck that is shaped like a giant hotdog used to promote Oscar Meyer
The people that drive that jalopy are called “hotdoggers”
I read this morning that they got over 7000 applications to drive that hot dog truck all over the country for one year
And every applicant was asked, “Why do you want to be a hotdogger?”
How do you even answer that question?
And why would you care?
It is an example of a question that you and I want to ask ourselves all the time
Not about driving a hot dog bus
But about doing whatever it is we are doing right now
Or want to do
Why do I want to buy this house?
Why do I want to marry this person?
Why do I continue to work in this job?
The answer to those questions reveal an underlying passion or enthusiasm for something or someone
Or lack thereof
I think if you and I asked ourselves similar questions
Why this thing?
Why this person?
We could uncover what we really want out of life
Instead of settling for less
And also avoiding a whole lot of pain in the process
What do you think about that?
Let me know in the comments
Because I love to hear what is on your mind
Until next time
