Ruby's Rambles - Rethinking Homeschool and Faith
Welcome, friend! My mission is to provide resources for you (and for your kids) to use as you seek.
Our spiritual gifts will not necessarily put us in a spotlight. Often, we'll be prompted to step into the specific moment someone needs God to show up - quietly, yet unmistakably. That's one of the ways His whispers become a shout, reminding someone who may have temporarily forgotten: "I Am - the God Who Sees."

Looking at Matthew 7 today.
Verse 24 - "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice..."
Q: Puts what into practice?
["These words of mine," so I looked back at everything He had just said.]
A: Everything He just said includes:
- Do good deeds/works
- Keep your word
- Love your enemies
- Give freely
- Pray sincerely
- Fast privately
- Invest in what matters
- Seek Him first
- Judge gently
- Ask, seek, knock
- Love others well
- Be discerning; watch the fruit
- Build your life wisely
Nothing to do with homeschool, but everything to do with this season of my life.
I keep seeing questions in women's groups, asking how to hide the gray. This is my response:
I like my gray. I've survived a lot of things, and I'm still standing. I've grown a lot, I've fought my share of battles (am still fighting battles), and I'm far more confident than I used to be - in my skills, in my knowledge, and in who I am. I plan to rock allll the gray. It shows a small piece of who I am now.
