EVO Demo report: While the 4000 fpm climb rate, 18-1 glide ratio, totally automatic pressurization and great slow flight handling are impressive the emergency descent wins. Pull power, pitch up to 160 kias, deploy approach flaps (25 degrees) which instantly gets you below 150 kias, extend gear which instantly gets you to 140 kias, deploy full flaps (50 degrees) and pitch over. We are descended at 5,000 fpm at ~130 knots and totally stable. You had to tighten your seatbelt to not slide out of the seat due to the deck angle. Pretty amazing!
