Eastside Stomp

Our Story

Eastside Stomp, presented by the Syncopation Foundation, is a collective of swing dance teachers and enthusiasts based on the Eastside of the Greater Seattle area. We are dedicated to teaching, performing, preserving, evolving and promoting the many vintage-based forms of swing dance, as well as the music and style of the Swing Era.

We specialize in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate S**g, Tap Dance and Charleston. We believe strongly in social dancing as the basis and reason for everything we teach in our lessons. For the staff of Eastside Stomp, swing dancing is about more than flashy moves and steps (although we certainly teach those…), but rather about good connection, great lead and follow skills, and above all else, having ridiculous amounts of fun.

We offer monthly series classes in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, and Solo Jazz dance, host weekly dances featuring live swing music, travel to teach swing workshops, and give private lessons.
