π¨ A split second can change everything.
On June 24 at approximately 12:25 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on Cleveland Street turned right onto Redmond Way, colliding with a vehicle traveling southeast on Redmond Way. The impact caused one of the vehicles to jump the sidewalk and crash into a fence.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, but this crash is a powerful reminder that distracted or inattentive driving can have serious consequences.
Due to an increase in collisions along Redmond Way, Redmond Police officers are conducting emphasis patrols focused on speeding and distracted driving in the area as part of King County Target Zero Coalition 100 Safe Days of Summer campaign.
The Redmond Police Department is proud to participate in this regional traffic safety effort, which runs through Labor Day and encourages everyone to make safe choices behind the wheel during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
Please slow down, stay focused, and put your phone away while driving. A few extra seconds of patience can prevent a lifetime of regret.
Help us spread the message by sharing this post. Together, we can make our roads safer for everyone.
