Puzzle Peace had the unique opportunity on this day of rememberance to meet and interview Halley Burnett, daugther of United Flight 93's hero Tom Burnett, as she volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. Tom's last words to his wife were, "We are going to do something" and in turn, hundreds of lives were spared. Halley is an insparation to us all as 13 years later she keeps her father legacy alive, living by that motto and doing something for others at every opportunity she has. On this anniversary, she helped build a structure that in a few short months will be a family's new home. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles

In preparation of Veterans Day, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and the Home Depot Foundation partnered for a "Celebration of Service" build and transformed the home of a Navy Veteran. We were proud to be there and are proud to show you the end result.
