❤️ Mike has survived a lot. He shouldn't have to lose Sage, too. ❤️ Can you help?

When Mike brought Sage to Options Veterinary Care, he wasn't expecting good news.

He had found several lumps on the belly of his beloved 6-year-old Belgian Malinois and feared the worst.

Mike is a senior, a veteran, and a devoted dad who has been through more than most. After recently experiencing homelessness, he's finally getting back on his feet and into stable housing. Financially, though, every dollar still matters.

Walking away wasn't an option.

Dr. Brad examined Sage and discovered multiple mammary masses that needed to be removed. The treatment plan included surgery to remove the masses and spay Sage at the same time—giving her the best chance at a healthy future.

Earlier this month, Sage underwent surgery.

The good news? She did great. ❤️

She's now recovering comfortably, thanks to a community that believes pets deserve care regardless of their family's financial circumstances.

The total cost of Sage's care exceeded $900. Thanks to financial aid, a large portion has been covered—but $350 remains.

Can you help us erase the rest?

Your donation doesn't just help pay a veterinary bill. It helps keep a beloved dog with the family who loves her. It gives a veteran one less impossible choice to make. And it reminds families facing hard times that they aren't alone.

Every gift—$10, $25, $50, or more—brings us closer to covering Sage's care and allows us to continue saying "yes" to the next family that walks through our doors needing hope.

🤝🐾 Teamwork Saves Tiny Lives 🐾🤝

This little peanut is here today because a whole village came together when she needed help most.

While out helping community cats, volunteer Gary spotted a tiny kitten all alone on hot pavement. No mama in sight. No shade. No protection from the extreme heat.

Knowing every minute mattered, Gary sprang into action.

Because Community Cats and Options Veterinary Care work closely together as community partners, he knew exactly where to go. He rushed the kitten to our clinic, where our team was ready to help.

Upon arrival, our veterinary team discovered she was dehydrated and completely covered in fleas. For a kitten this small, that's a dangerous combination.

She immediately received fluids, a flea bath, and treatment to get rid of the remaining hitchhikers. 🛁🐱

Today she's safe, comfortable, and learning that life isn't so scary after all.

Well... mostly.

Our little diva has informed us that bottle feeding is NOT the same as mom's milk and she'd like to file a formal complaint. 😹

Because she's still so young, she needs feedings every few hours and help with all the things mama cats normally do for their babies.

Unfortunately, emergencies don't always happen when foster homes are readily available. When we couldn't find a foster on short notice, one of our team members stepped up.

❤️ Destiny volunteered to take this tiny girl home and provide the around-the-clock care she needs.

And that's what rescue looks like.

A volunteer who stops.
A veterinary team that responds.
A staff member who opens her home.
A community working together to save one tiny life.

This little kitten's story also highlights why we are always in need of cat and kitten foster volunteers—especially those who can step in quickly when emergencies happen.

Because trust us... the next tiny kitten in need is already out there.

Thank you to everyone who helps make lifesaving moments like this possible. And if you want to help us by becoming a foster caregiver, visit the link below for more. ❤️🐾

❤️ Help us be there for Brodie.

Some pets are more than pets — they are family, a constant companion, and a source of comfort through life’s ups and downs. For Debbie, that pet is Brodie.

Brodie is an 11-year-old Maltese and one of Options Veterinary Care’s earliest patients. He and Debbie have been together through so much, and he goes everywhere with her. As a senior on disability with a very limited income, Brodie’s care can sometimes feel out of reach — but keeping him healthy means everything.

Recently, Brodie began experiencing seizure-like episodes, and his family turned to Options for help. Under the care of Dr. Lingenfelter, Brodie received the bloodwork needed to start investigating what was happening. The good news? His results looked good, but continued monitoring and further investigation are needed to understand what’s causing these episodes. ❤️

Debbie was able to cover Brodie’s exam, but the cost of his bloodwork was more than she could manage.

We’re asking our community to help cover the remaining $279 so Brodie can continue receiving the care he needs and stay by Debbie’s side. 🐾

Every donation helps pets like Brodie get answers, treatment, and a little more time with the people who love them.
