The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) is the only non-profit organization in northern Nevada solely dedicated to helping local children battling cancer and their families. Operating out of Reno, Nevada, the foundation provides comprehensive financial assistance, emotional support, and educational advocacy at no cost to the families

Core Programs and Services

The foundation balances direct local relief with national advocacy built around four key pillars:

Family Assistance Fund: Mitigates financial burdens by directly covering out-of-pocket medical expenses, household bills (rent, mortgage, utilities), and extensive treatment-related travel costs.

Emotional Support: Host free family outings throughout the year (e.g., movie nights, baseball games, fishing trips) and partners with Parent to Parent of Nevada to offer a one-on-one parent mentorship program.

The Inspire Scholarship: Grants trade school and university scholarships to young adults who are undergoing treatment or are childhood cancer survivors.

Research Funding: Partners with national organizations like the St. Baldrick's Foundation, raising over $3.4 million through local "Shave for the Brave" fundraisers to fund safer treatments and cures.
