POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Maintenance Manager Position is responsible to manage engineering and maintenance services to achieve maximum financial results from the plants capital expenditures, maintenance expenditures, production equipment and fixed assets. Works across teams to maximize plant productivity, promote safety and quality.

KEY DUTIES:
• Manage engineering and maintenance services and ensure operational reliability.
• Oversee preventative maintenance compliance and effectiveness.
• Develop, monitor and ensure timely completion of plant goals/action plans, both short and long term.
• Assist Plant Manager in making operational improvements to reduce costs and to increase productivity.
• Utilize new technology and lean manufacturing principals and processes available to maximize efficiency.
• Plan, manage and execute capital asset program in compliance with Annual Operating Plan and established policy.
• Have or develop a network base with equipment vendors.
• Promote development of cost saving initiatives including management of utilities and equipment.
• Provide the day-to-day operational leadership for mechanics and associated personnel.
• Develop a work environment within manufacturing that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
• Assign accountability, build teams, hire, develop, evaluate, train, discipline.
• Ensure the adherence to policies, practices, and procedures.
• Communicate items of interest or concern to employees and Plant Manager via written and oral communication.
• Ensure production of a quality product in compliance with Federal and State guidelines
• Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, Etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass pre-employment testing.
• Distant Lands Coffee is a drug free workplace.
• Some weekend and overtime work will be required.
• Must be able to perform repetitive motions of hands and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner, pass in house forklift training/certification
• Work in an environment where temperatures may vary

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, engineering or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline; or equivalent education/experience in the manufacturing field.
• 3+ years supervisory in food/beverage experience preferred.

REPORTING TO THIS POSITION ARE: Maintenance Technicians Team

POSITION SUMMARY:
Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting our branded programs across digital and social media platforms. This individual has a deep understanding of social voice, tone, style and creative and has experience working across a multitude of social media platforms.

KEY DUTIES:
• Day-to-day responsibilities include conceiving, implementing, and measuring social and influencer marketing campaigns across all relevant channels.
• Manages daily social communication, consumer listen and response, sentiment analysis and inquiries.
• Creates and manages content calendars and scheduled ads for Instagram, Facebook, print etc. to deliver on business goals.
• Demonstrates a clear ability to develop tactics and campaigns that drive business goals; earned media, audience growth, owned engagement, acquisition, reach, brand awareness and more.
• Formulates paid-social strategies, ensuring that decisions are consistent with established objectives.
• Assists with managing our online brand ambassador/influencer program, sourcing new partnerships, campaign communications, and making the most of our influencer relationships.
• Regular maintenance of brand websites and assistance with updates to online eCommerce channels (Walmart.com, Amazon.com)
• Copy writing, copy editing, content creation, photo shoots; image retouching and management.
• Grow our loyalty mailing lists and provide engaging monthly content and newsletters
• Supports the Marketing Team on various projects that may include day-to-day tasks as assigned

POSITION SKILL/COMPETENCY:
• Effective written and verbal communication for copywriting and storytelling
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to multitask across a variety of projects and deadlines
• Graphic Design and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
• Experience with web design (Wordpress) and photography a plus
• Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to deal with multiple priorities
• Collaboration; works cross functionally within the Marketing department and with external agencies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years experience
• Understanding of major social media channels required, love social media content as a whole
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION ARE: None

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for sending all green coffee from the Warehouse mezzanine to the Roasting facility. This position is responsible for quality assurance (proper item/lot coding), paperwork completeness and work area cleanliness.

KEY DUTIES:
• Documentation of greens used, including lot code, item number and pounds used
• Responsible for reviewing item and batch quantities of green coffee
• Accountable for all green coffee sent to the roaster
• Responsible to adhere to the GMP policy
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Ensure that all supplies are organized and stored in their proper place
• Ensure that green coffee meets Company standards
• Every employee has a responsibility to report employee safety, food safety and/or quality concerns to their Supervisor/Manager immediately upon identification
• Perform all other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility a plus

This position is Sunday - Thursday, swing shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm). Some overtime may be required.
