Our guest speaker at the Chiropractic Philosophy Forum on Monday, September 9, 2019 will be Dr. Dana Clum.

Dr. Clum has been in practice for 20 years. She practiced internationally in Costa Rica and Spain and has been back in States since 2010. She has a family practice in Kirkland WA and combines Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic with Full Spine adjusting to serve her community. Over the years she has worked directly with the Costa Rican Olympic committee and their elite athletes, as well as countless OBs, midwives, pediatricians and naturopaths taking care of their Mom’s during pregnancy, newborns and kids of all ages.

Dr. Clum is Webster Technique Certified and is currently in the process of completing the Diplomate in the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics DACCP, a 400 hour post graduate study in Chiropractic Pediatrics.

She is active in her community and profession and is an active member of many chiropractic professional groups and organizations:

• International Federation of Chiropractors and Organizations (IFCO)
• Washington State Chiropractic Association
• Washington State Chiropractic Trust

In this presentation she will be providing a deeper understanding of the application of chiropractic philosophy, science, and art as it applies to the evaluation and adjusting of the pediatric spine

At the end of the presentation, attendees should have a better understanding of the following topics and be able to apply them to their practice:

• Pediatric Spinal Anatomy as it changes from birth through adulthood
• Upper Cervical listings, assessment and adjusting as it pertains to the pediatric spine
• Sacral and Pelvic listings, assessment and adjusting as it pertains to the pediatric spine
• Evaluation of spinal subsystems and how to use these indicators to confidently know when and where to adjust as well as evaluate progress under care objectively
o Neural Control Subsystem: Nervous system and spinal cord tension indicators
o Passive Subsystem: structural assessment of bony structures
o Active Subsystem: Assessment of patterns help in the muscular system.

This will be a great meeting and it will provide some empowering information that you can use the next day in practice.
