Welcome to Frog Cottage, the newest venture in the VFGS family! We bought an Airbnb in Beaufort SC, and I spent a blissful two weeks decorating it from top to bottom. It’s available for rent: half an hour from Charleston and 45 minutes from Savannah, it’s a classic low country getaway. Let me know if you’d like to see the listing!

Look who’s in the Summer edition of Edible Capital District! It’s always a pleasure to chat with Haley (Editor in Chief of Edible Capital District and owner of Arthur's Market ) about our respective businesses. Supporting other local businesses and providing a place for the community is so important to both of us. And how exciting that fables_at_the_ferry , the new bookstore located at VFGS is also featured! Last but not least, we can always count on Erica Gamble Erica S. Gamble 📸 Hudson Valley Photographer to beautifully capture the candid moments during our events when we’re so busy doing all the “stuff” that we never remember to actually take a picture 😆. Also, Managing Editor Jenn VanDerwerken Jennifer Taber VanDerwerken had a great conversation with Josh and Brent of Beekman 1802. We’ve got lots of copies at the store- swing by and grab one!

Father’s Day is this Sunday! Bring Dad and hang out with us: we’ll have Cousins Maine Lobster here from 11-6, and The Murder Hornets will be performing outside from 12-3. Play a little corn hole and ping pong, crack open a cold beer, relax on our back lawn and enjoy the day. We’ll also have a special breakfast menu that Dad will love! The store will be open with extended hours until 6pm this Sunday.

Congrats to Rick and Cherie, winners of the raffle basket for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Over $600 was raised for the team in memory of our friend Debbie Leto. Dick Leto, Debbie’s husband, pulled the winning name, and we’re thrilled that it’s going to some of our favorite people, for whom this fundraiser has personal significance. A huge thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets.
As always, the VFGS community has shown their kindness and generosity, and we appreciate it!
