Productive weekend! Men’s and womxn’s premier sides both got 2nd place in their brackets, with the open sides getting 4th place. Social side got better and had fun 👀. All sides had several new faces, so the major focus for this weekend was cohesion leading up to Bloodfest in 2 weeks.

It was also great seeing alumni in attendance like Sammy Wilbur, Bevo, Tiny, Drink, and Harry Singh!

So many players showed out, it was hard to just pick one for some of these teams. Coming straight off his tour with Pakistan 7s, Abbas proved to be a workhorse. Kaylee and Toni have both been 7s mainstays for years, and are two of the most fun players to watch on the field.

Open side, Parker Tuck worked incredibly hard on offense and defense, even slotting in some extra points! Emily and Ja’Kalyna were key in the open for the womxn, and we love watching their growth as players.

On social, you’d normally want to congratulate discipline in shape and hard work. Othy made 7s look like 15s, and he made it look good! Ran it straight, ran it hard, and made sure it took more than 1 player to take him down… creating space for others to play 7s!

Ireland was in the running for player of the tournament, but managed to get a red card. We forgive her. This time.

This isn’t Reese’s first cap with Mexico, but it is his first international cap with them!

Reese is officially on the way to take on Trinidad & Tobago!
