“Working out at UREC has been real fun for the past 2 to 3 years since I was here at UT Dallas as a student, now being a professional. UREC provides a gym platform that is very convenient – it has all the machines, it has all the trainers, the staff is really good and the motivation behind working out for me is going all out there and you know, lifting and getting that adrenaline and feeling that pump and then you know, just gives a very significant aspect to my personal life makes me confident. UREC is somewhere where my friends also come since we have been coming here since our university school days so it’s always fun to be here and hang around and continue to, you know I’ll continue to come here in the future too.
Being a school gym, the university gym is way better than most of the private gyms I’ve visited and been to and not only is it way more affordable, but it offers services and sporting based facilities that are not even there in other private gyms. It has a fantastic swimming pool and climbing wall that I really personally like and UREC,, of course the Activity Center is the main hub for all the workouts so really a nice place to hang around and have fun with.”
Arnav has graduated from UTD and now holds an alumni membership, but UREC just keeps him coming back!

“What motivates me to work out is that I think for women it’s really important to do strength training because our bone density significantly decreases when we get older, and become unable to do basic things in our day-to-day life, so I want to prevent that from happening. I want to become strong and fit and be able to set myself up for success by doing this, so doing everyday things when I’m older and just making sure of everything.”
