What a wonderful Holi celebration at Nichol park.

Holi is a vibrant Hindu "Festival of Colors" and spring, celebrated primarily in India and Nepal to mark the end of winter and the triumph of good over evil. Occurring in March (on the full moon of Phalguna, however we had to do it today because of the weather in March), it involves throwing colored powders (gulal) and water, dancing, and sharing sweets.

Thank you to our cityofrichmondca parks and rec department for putting this great event together for our community!

Everyone is welcome!

We will discuss and share concerns and issues in our community, district, and city and talk about solutions and plan for the future.

Goals and conversations from this meeting will be used by Councilmember Zepeda as he works with the City Council on the 2027 budget.

This is the 4th year of showing up in the community gathering feedback and working together!

We started with our first community strategy meeting in Parchester Village, then we were in the Santa Fe neighborhood, followed by the Shields Reid neighborhood, and this year at the Point Richmond neighborhood. All meetings are open to all community members from all over the district and city!

Together we continue making our community better for all!
