The official mission of the Ridley School District is to “create a caring environment that gives all students the opportunity to achieve their fullest personal and academic potential…” Whether a student is working towards college, trade school, an apprenticeship program, the military, or a direct move into the workforce, the school system should set them up for success at the highest level.

A 20% proficiency rate in math is simply not acceptable, and the School Board should be all over this. I have not heard a single peep about this at any School Board meeting. Instead we hear from the Board that the Ridley schools are named among the “top in the state.” This assessment is either disingenuous or delusional. We need a School Board to recognize a problem when they see it and do the hard work to fix it. [The screenshot shows RMS 2022 PSSA results.]

Recent Cuts At Our Ridley Schools #5: No more yearly AP Calculus BC offered at Ridley High School. Are you OK with this? I am not. (As a math major in college, this one is particularly shocking and disheartening to me).
