The Old Woodlands and Foothills

What is written in the light in the old woods are the stories older than time itself, and every stone, root, and leaf is the papyrus that fills the volumes of nature’s journal, with every birthing, living, dying, and renewing thoughtfully noted and entered.

The familiar trails welcome wanderers with extended arms of Oak and Maple. The air is sweet with summer rain and Hemlock. A mist rises at twilight from the cool places near the creek.

The human soul needs the old woods as much as the body needs food and comfort. These are the places that hold memory and story as strongly as the old chapel on the rural route.

Every shadow was just as sacred as the morning light that shone through the thick green canopy overhead. Here is both escape and home; wild and familiar—the deep and beautiful places of our woodland journeys.
