Flat Creek Rods

Mike McFarland has consistently rolled and designed some of the best glass blanks on the market and has even designed some custom tapers for Flat Creek Rods. When my customer wanted to fish bigger flies on bigger water with glass my first thought was Mike's GTX series. The combo of E and S glass along with a fast but smooth taper maintains the soul of glass with a modern touch. Once we settled on the 8'6" 5wt we picked out a beautiful Struble Manufacturing agate to go with the Snake Brand guides. The shop turned olive wood fits nicely in the Garrison style downlocking hardware. The grip is a reverse half-wells/Ritz(with a well!) Olive and brown silk wraps finish out this build. I'm sure this rod will have many adventures in the waters of Utah and beyond!
