Finished the diaper I started the other day. I was going to use a different option for the inner part of the diaper but decided against it because I wasn't happy with the way it turned out. I decided to opt instead for an upcycled prefold diaper that I got at a children's consignment shop for $1.00. I still need to make a snap-in insert to go with this diaper.

I'm not totally happy with the snap placement on the wings, because I forgot to transfer the marks from the pattern before sewing, so I had to go back and add them after the fact. As a result, they're not perfectly lined up 😠. I also keep forgetting to add my label/logo 😬😒

Also, my top-stitching is not how I would want it to be, because I opted not to use the blind hem foot due to the layers and the PUL fabric (I left my walking foot on). I think I'll see how the next one goes with the blind hem attachment instead...

Although this diaper isn't perfect (back elastic is kinda wonky due to fabric layers), I'll still be bringing it with me to the craft show. I have another of this pattern to sew up, plus about 5 from a different pattern. They're all size newborn to small 😁

Found a PUL diaper cover for free. I didn't take a "before" photo, but it was ugly. The PUL was in decent shape though, so my intention was to re-purpose it into a practice diaper. I had to piece the wings from some scrap PUL I had on hand. I'm beginning to discover a preference for serged diapers. The pattern is in Spanish, for a free newborn fitted with umbilical snap. Kinda similar to BaaBaaBaby's free newborn fitted pattern. The wings on this one are slightly longer though.

Note: I added 1 layer of Zorb (an absorbent fabric) to the Ge**er prefold that was used as the inner layer of this diaper 💝
