Beating the Beast

I haven’t updated here lately. I’m feeling good and gaining my strength back. My hair is coming back very dark and gray 😆. I’m just glad to have some hair back. I have been taking Tamoxifen which is a hormone blocker, since I finished radiation in February. It makes my joints ache some. That seems to be getting better with exercise. Please pray for my upcoming appointment that is June 30th. I will have my first mammogram since everything has happened and I will visit with my cancer doctor. Thanks for all your prayers!!!!

Finished my last radiation treatment today on my birthday so that was a good gift. I’m really red and sore but this was still easier than chemo by far! I pray that chemo and radiation did the job they were designed to do! I will see my chemo onocologist next week for blood work, have my port flushed and to begin a hormone blocker pill for at least 5 years. Please pray I tolerate it with no side effects. I will follow up with my radiation onocologist in about 6 weeks and my plastic surgeon in a couple of months. My first mammogram since everything will be in June. I can’t thank everyone enough for your love and support for me and my family. Please continue to pray as my body has a lot of healing to do now!

It has been a while since I updated. I have 4 more treatments left!!!! Pray that chemo and this radiation has taken care of any trace of cancer that could have been left after surgery!

3 down, 17 to go!

It was a long day but finished number 7 of 8 chemo treatments today. Since I had reactions with this drug on the last two, they slowed it way down to see if that would help and it did. No coughing attack! However, we were there for a long time.

My family has been awesome through this journey. My mom came today and cooked me chicken and dumplings which is one of my favs. She also had peas and cornbread! She and Olivia made Christmas candy today. My KK sent a pie with mom.
Mom has been with me to many appointments among too many other things to list!!
My in laws have helped so much with Olivia and made trips back and forth with her. My mother n law has been to appointments and helped in many ways. Both of my sister n laws have been helpful throughout this as well! My sister was so kind to do the T-shirt sales which was extremely helpful!!Couldn’t have made it this far without them!!!
