My beautiful boy Sunbeau Buckshot passed away overnight. I got him as a retired harness racer from Racer Placers Inc and we had many years of carriage driving and trail riding together.

Meet the foal’s very first “slippers.” ✨
At birth, every newborn hoof is wrapped in a soft, rubbery capsule that shields the mare’s uterus and birth canal during pregnancy and delivery. As soon as the foal rises to take those wobbly first steps, this cushiony layer scuffs away, revealing the sturdy hoof beneath.
