Sankofa Birthworkers Collective

Hey Sankofa Community!!!! Spread the word….the collective has three current offerings for families:

• DOULA SUPPORT: No-cost services for Black birthing folks in Riverside & San Bernardino County, in partnership with BIH & Perinatal Equity Initiative.

• MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT: Mama’s Harambee offers weekly peer support, lunch, and resources for postpartum moms. Meetings are virtual and in-person.

• LACTATION SUPPORT: Every Friday, Loving Lactation has drop-in breastfeeding & lactation support!

We have a new addition to our Midwifery Access Team! Em Moreland of is offering her knowledge and presence to our pregnant community! We are glad to have her serve in both cohorts, Riverside and San Bernardino in our prenatal care groups. Come out experience the care of a community midwife! for more information.

The Midwifery Access Program (MAP) is guided by a team of midwives, doulas, and educators who are passionate about community, care, and connection.

Each member brings unique experience and heart to this work—creating spaces where families feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their pregnancy journey. 💛
