Another reason I left CA: @gavinnewsom Is the tyrant of CA’s reign only temporary? Yes. Can CA eventually recover from its disease of destructive progressive left policies? Also yes. However, the time it takes CA to reverse course (if it ever can) will in essence be all of Brooklyn’s childhood years, and that wasn’t something that either Jeff or I were willing to sacrifice. Anyone who has lived in CA for any length of time can tell you that the quality of life in the state is the lowest it has been in a very long time, perhaps ever. Gas prices Energy prices Homelessness Infrastructure Crime Illegal immigration Lockdowns While there’s an argument to be made that all these factors have gotten worse on a national level, CA has seen an acceleration that far outpaces almost anywhere else in the country. For my family, we decided to move to a state that more closely reflected our belief system, and a state that continued to govern with at least a modicum of common sense. Are ID politics perfect? No. But compared to CA they look really really good. Tired of taking the brunt of continued progressive politics’ destruction?
