New MTS surcharge rate effective January 1, 2018.

The MTS is the Prepaid Mobile Telephony Services Surcharge which is added to a prepaid cell phone pin or plan purchase.

The old charge was 5.90% of the prepaid pin or plan purchase. The new charge will be 6.30% of the prepaid pin or plan purchase.

This does NOT include any local charges which certain cities & counties have added.

As an example, in the city of Los Angeles, the MTS charge is a whopping 15.30%. (Don't worry, however, we work within the cities of Whittier, Riverside, & Hemet, which all have the MTS at only 6.30%.)
