Check up on anyone pulled over. You never know.
Stay cautious, alert, and aggressive. THAT is defensive riding.
Also, it’s okay to have fun if you’re being careful.
Lastly, I pray blessings and protection over you and and that the God of all creation touches your heart if he hasn’t already. This life is short as it is(especially in the motorcycle community…RIP to all those we’ve already lost) Come to know your creator while you still eat, sleep, drink, and breathe.

As in, start thinking it’s okay to lane-split to avoid potential accidents. Whether or not it’s legal in your state. Remember, you’re on two wheels. You need to do what you must to survive. If you ride, even in a state where lane-splitting is illegal, I still encourage you to have a lane-splitting state of mind.
I’ve seen too many crash videos where the rider had an escape path but froze because they were afraid of “breaking the law.”
To be clear…I am not telling you to break your state’s laws or practice illegal lane-splitting. But if you ever find yourself choosing between making contact or using an escape path, choose survival. Move. Split. Escape. Do what you must to make it home.

Love it or hate it, lane-splitting is legal in California, and when done responsibly, it can be safer when you look at the bigger picture.
And again, I genuinely appreciate the motorcycle awareness, but there’s really no need to drive onto the shoulder to let motorcycles pass. Even on a bagger, there’s usually plenty of room to lane-share, unless you’re in LA, where apparently lanes were designed by someone holding a grudge.

Love the motorcycle awareness BUT let’s also be aware of the fact that we DON’T need that much room to safely split. Too much debris on these shoulders. Lane-Splitting exists but so does Lane-SHARING. Speaking of slowing down…if you can’t properly brake at the speed you’re traveling….SLOW IT DOWN. That is all.
